THE E-SERIES MARINE DIVISION |
Approved on 15 April 1943, the E-100 series table of organization formed the basis of the Marine divisional structure of the mid-war period. Divisions organized under T/O E-100 fought in the campaigns for the Northern Solomons, Cape Gloucester, and Tarawa. At various stages in their careers, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Marine divisions all utilized the E-100 table of organization.
